Extend Polavaram canal upto Sompeta

Government proposed to construct canal from Polavaram to Visakhapatnam for industrial use. That canal must be upto Sompeta in Srikakulam district. Extension of that canal upto Sompeta will help a lot to backward Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts. Sompeta area is famous for cashew and coconut crops. But still sompeta area is economically backward.

In Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts people many depend on tanks for cultivation. Extension of Polavaram canal to Sompeta must be done.

In Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts rain fall is good but water resources are less. Extending Polavaram canal will definitely help these districts.
