Upgrade Rajam-Saradhi as muncipality

10 years ago my parents purchased a site in Rajam. In those days that site was in out skirt area of town and used to look like lonely place. Now that area is full of houses. Real estate business developed and land rate increased in out skirts of Rajam. If Rajam is upgraded as muncipality, they can get good taxes.

One of my relatives from Srikakulam said to me that government is having plan to upgrade Rajam as muncipality. Next term, they are going to conduct muncipal elections in Rajam instead of Panchayat elections. I dont know whether it is true or not. Because government did not make any official anouncement regarding it.
