More agro based industries should be setup in Srikakulam. In Srikakulam district around 87% of people live in rural areas. Around 73% of people depend up on agriculture. Srikakulam district is highly agriculturised area. But agro based industries are less in Srikakulam district. In Srikakulam district there is town named Palasa\Kasibugga which is center for cashew nut processing industries. There is also town named Rajam which is center for jute mills. More agro based industries should be setup in highly agriculturised Srikakulam district.

In Srikakulam district mineral wealth is less. Srikakulam district can be developed by encouraging agro based industries. In Srikakulam district commmercial crops like jute, oil seeds, cashew nuts etc are grown. If more agro based industries are setup in Srikakulam district it will reduce unemployment and also benefit farmers.

Srikakulam district is having jute crop and also jute industries, cashew crop and cashew nut industries. Oil seeds are also grown but there is onl one oil industry. That too rice bran oil industry.

Yes. Except "Nagavaly solvents ltd" there are no other oil industries in Srikakulam district. Nagavaly solvents factory extracts oil from rice bran. Factories which extract oil from oil seeds should be also established.
