First and foremost is low/ inconsistant rain fall. In general if we take the problem it is the small farmers are also responsible for this condition. Agriculture has become very costly now a days with seeds, power bills, fertiliser, and pesticides, Unless one has capacity to moboilise required funds no body should venture agriculture now a days. doing businesss with some body's money, debts or bank finance are dangerous for any business.

Rain fall is not main problem. Water resources like canals and tanks is only main problem.

TDP government totally neglected irrigation projects. Present Congress government is neglecting minor irrigation projects and concentrating more on futile projects like Pulichintala.
