| Redlu, choudarlu from other parts of state have migrated to vizag to settle their busines interests and political scores here. Vizag basically does not have choudaris or reddys as their origin

VISAKHAPATNAM: The need for electing local people who understand local issues and make sincere efforts to solve them was stressed by president and honorary advisor of the Praja Spandana C.S. Rao and E.A.S. Sarma respectively.
Addressing newsmen, they said that local politics was being hijacked by some leaders who stay away from the city for long durations and make all sorts of promises during election campaign.
Those who were denied party ticket at other places were given the same here, they said.
Praja Spandana, a forum for common cause and protection and promotion of public interests, had been fighting on various issues concerning city, like formation of a separate railway zone with headquarters at Visakhapatnam, setting up of central university, control of pollution, rehabilitation of evacuees etc.

They demanded formation of a separate railway zone which should extend from Berhampur to Vijayawada.

Choudaries are a minority caste in Uttarandhra (dont get shock), till the kula gajji NTR took reins for state and spread his caste all over state.
Uttarandhra mainly consisted of Naidus, Garvaras, Velamas and other minority castes.
The reddis in Uttarandhra are different from that of rayalaseema. They are nt arrogant like their counterparts. They are a working class here in uttarandhra.
In Vizag except the caste sick choudaries nobody else bothers about caste. However in other parts of uttarandhra, there is casteism.
