I agree with statesman that the revenue of wailtair division is more than any other division in whichever railway zone it is till now ( SER,ECOR ) and you can confirm the same from the above link.
I am not sure whether dolphin nose is talking about revenues divisional wise compared to divisions in SCR or is he saying compared to whole of SCR anyway any sources of information from him to confirm it would be great.I will post you if i get any sources of information regarding that
Taking all the revenue figures of wailtair division and injustice we are facing from ECOR,it strongly supports the case of separate railway zone with vizag as hq soon and i beleive our politicians should work towards that swiftly. |

Thanks for the info. I refer the above link all the time. I knew Vizag has one of the highest goods traffic. But the information I can't get is about SCR divisions. Those websites are not operational.
The SCR site shows the earnings for the zone close to $7000 crores for 2007-2008 with net surplus (earnings – all expenses) of Rs 2038 crores. On the other hand east coast railway has earnings close $5000 crores with gross surplus (earnings – working expenses) of Rs 2500 crores.
The Govind Pant award is given to best operationally performing railway zone in the country. Obviously SCR did better than other zones. What are those metric that SCR did better?. Is it passenger traffic? |

I too tried to get info on SCR and their divisions but the website seems to be unaccesible right now

As a zone i beleive SCR is bigger than ECOR but dolphin nose might be comparing wailtair division with other divisions in ECOR and also with divisions in other zones such as SCR

I am not sure about that but will keep you posted if i get any information about the metrics. |
