VJA Railway division eyes 1000Cr target this year

Biggest and busiest railway division eyes for revenue of Rs. 1000 Cr this year. For 2007-2008 earning are up to Rs. 890 Cr which is second heighest in India.

Station has been already declared as Grade A station after metros last year. In addtion to existing escalators on 1st and 6th Platforms, railway is plannning to have 2 more escalators in city station. Currently total of 230 (express and passenger trains pass through vijayawada and 300 Goods trains.)

Hope our politicians add mode feathers to Vijayawada railway history.

I heard that the station is even more beautiful than it was few years back. Sure lots of progress on the aesthetics part. I hope the station staff do their best too to win the hearts of the passengers.

Isn't this one of the station along with Secunderabad to bring it to International standards? or is it Tirupati?
