Vizag has been denied an IIM, but will now get the prestigious International standard Central University, first of its kind in our state, according to a press release here by HRD Ministry.

I was expecting this earlier, i even posted the same some time back under union budget thread. This really good news, for our childrens future in this region and across the country.

We already have a Central University in Hyderabad on old Bombay Highway near Lingampally. This proposed university at Vizag is second Central University in AP and is a good news.
I strongly believe AP desrves one IIM far from Hyderabad region, to give way for equal development across state.

The International central university being sanctioned at Vizag, will be a totally different one from HCU. Anywz, I agree the IIM should have been a better option, but we need to settle for this now, later if we elect a good local MP, MLAs then we can demand our right Exclamation
