is it true that vizag is in development mode? i doubt

i'm in vizag for the last 10dats and trying to see the development but i see there is lot of talk but practically the development is almost u call zero, let there be a healthy discussion of truth and facts, but not mere news paper clippings

Hi , i too got irritated frm these so called dev. Everything in words but noting seen . Something like Jail road IMAX , BRTS , Cyber towers near RK . .....so on . All these will be successful only till proposals . Thats it we should not expect more . the best ex is the IMAX , they gave all the plan and building structure and site plan and everyone are so excited and became happy and they showed all of us Govinda . Everything is like this . Recently in GVMC meeting when the mayor decided to give 9 unused GVMC sites to shopping malls and multiplex's , the TDP and CPI ..etc all behaved as beasts and fell on the mayor to not to give for them . As long as this continues there will be no dev. ( If there also very very slow compared to the time )

Vizag is certainly developing and theres no doubt about it. However, it may still take some time to actually visualize those dev activities. For example recently the state gov has announced metro development authority for GHMC and has not done the same for GVMC, why is this not done? and nobody asks, similarly for GHMC a grant of 200Crs has been allocated in this years budget and not even a rupee has been done for GVMC. So GVMC has been denied the wings to take off.

Developement project wise:

New International Terminal (airport), you can view the terminal building, it is scheduled to be completed by July.
New runway, ILS, CAT-3, night landing all in place in can have a look.

Rly platforms incresed from 5 to 8, almost work has been completed, plz visit city rly station and view the dev activities.

Rushikonda hitec city. Plz visit rushikonda, as soon as u cross sai priya resorts, to your left you will find lot of IT towers, buildings, (you will a hint of dev to come in future days).
Kenexa technologies center a capasity of 6000 people, will shift its operations from Hyd to Vizag. Similarly Soft Sol will also shift from Hyd to Vizag.

Now on entertainment side, plz visit chitralaya and you wud find Multilez construction done at raipd space.
Visit site opposite Taj and u cud find INOX mulptlex being constructed.
Now, visit Maddilapalem X roads and u wud se CMR central and multiplex coming up there.

BRTS is yet to start, as they have land acquiring issues in some areas.

Now, go to parvada to see the largest port in asia being constructed (Gangavaram). First berth will be opened by Sonia gandhi in coming months, once completed, it will be the second largest in Asia after dubai.

Now come down to RTC X Roads, there you can see magna central-hyper market, largest of its stores in state.

Visit sampath vinayaka opp. site where shoppers stop is coming up in one or two months.

Big bazaar opening their secnd outlet, in Gajuwaka.

All, i can say is dont expect wonders as we still r under the shadow called Hyderabad. Once that is taken off and Vizag made capital, you will see whats is Vizag's real potential Exclamation

Nice to see the list of developments, but not the opinion.

Development of one city should not depend on another city, if it is so, then there is a problem somewhere else, and definitely Visakha need not be a capital to develop. If Visakha has a potential, it will for sure transform into a cosmopolis which it is always.

Anyway this opinion contradicts the other opinion that state is ruled by coastal andhra region's political junta.
