ARE BY-ELECTIONS A REFERENDUM?

The by-polls should be a referrendum on the govt. and other issues pertaining to each district. However, I feel TRS was a bit late in resigning, if they have done this long back they might got the benefit. Now, both central and State govts has plans t go for general elections before December of this year.

If that is the case, then according to new assembly and parliament reorganizations committee, the polls need to be conducted on new list. That would take some time, and no by-elections would be conducted if general elections are within 6months time. So, I'm sceptical that govt. may advice election commission of India not to conduct by-elections Exclamation

Whats the pointin resigning early and losing the momentume.

After KCR resigned his cabinet post i was worried how we Telanganites would keep the struggle going till 2009. But MSR was godsent and the rest is history.

Now with elections around the corner, this was very vital and would provide unprecedented results to Telanganites.

The timeing to me is spot on with YSR very very worried and trying all he can to avoid a by-election. Cause a by-election means a full stop to his ambitions of another term and it will turn chaotic after the by-elections with the Telangana MLA's totally in control of things from their perspective.

BYE-ELECTIONS ARE DEFINETLEY A REFURENDUM ON TELANGANA..

IF TRS GETS MORE THAN 50% VOTES POLLED,EVERY ONE SHOULD ACCEPT AND WILL ACCEPT STATE HOOD FOR TELANGANA.
DOES NOT REALLY MATTERS HOW MANY SEATS THEY WIN.

THEN I AM SURE THAT TELANGANA WILL BE SEPEARTED FROM ANDHRA BY THE PARLEMENT IN COUPLE OF YEARS TIME..
