I am not a big fan of district name changes considering the huge cost and the confusion that it brings about but this district name change sounds to be reasonable. I do not know what Nellore means but definitely know Potti Sriramulu. If the district / location names are relevant and can tell us about people from the locations, it is really a positive thing and not just a fancy thing.

The name change is now official starting this noon. So Nellore is Sri Potti Sreeramulu Nellore - sounds like a big name - isn't it?
