| Today's news in Hindu.....
HYDERABAD: In what could be an embarrassment to the Congress high command, the Telangana Regional Congress Coordination Committee (TRCCC) spurned its proposal for finding a solution to the separate Telangana demand through a second States Reorganisation Commission (SRC) as agreed by the Congress and TRS before the elections.
A meeting of the committee chaired by APCC president K. Keshava Rao, instead, suggested constitution of a committee to resolve the dispute over the separate Telangana demand, virtually rejecting the high command’s known stand as articulated by AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh recently.
Attended by senior Congress leaders of the region like V. Hanumantha Rao, V. Purushottam Reddy, G. Chinna Reddy, M. Shashidhar Reddy, P. Janardhan Reddy and P. Goverdhan Reddy, the meeting unanimously felt that this was not the time to seek a solution to the issue of Telangana by constituting another SRC.
Speakers are said to have expressed displeasure over Mr. Digvijay Singh’s clarification and insisted on a solution independent of the SRC. On record, however, the TRCCC leaders said the meeting resolved to “request AICC president Sonia Gandhi to take a decision keeping in view concerns of the Telangana people”.
Talking to the media later, Dr. Keshava Rao and Mr. Hanumantha Rao said they would convey the “feelings” of TRCCC members to the party high command.
Even as the meeting was in progress, members of the Telangana Sadhana Samithi led by Konda Laxman Bapuji staged a dharna on the steps of Gandhi Bhavan.
Early decision
They raised slogans demanding that the TRCCC members press for an early decision on separate Telangana. Dr. Keshava Rao, who received a delegation of the Sadhana Samithi, assured that he would convey their demand to the Congress high command. |

| TRCC took a wise decision, otherwise they know that they will be wiped out from Telangana..
BTW, its not a new decision, everybody (Telanganites) in this region wants a separate state irrespective of parties, castes, religions etc..
Just for curiosity, do you know any prominent leader from Telangana, who is opposing the demand of Telangana separate state? (from any party) |

| | What a blow to Andhra? All people are frightened by this heroic act by TRCC, and how smart for them to notice that elections are coming. If we keep generating these serious blows to Andhra, and terrifies them, I guess it sounds lot better than separate T. |
