Now that left is chipping in, hopefully UPA govt will expedite the process. It is very surprising how they got interested in this. But no complains. If we can’t get classical status in UPA govt, it will be much harder later. All 42 mps and 294 mlas need to put their weight for one last push.

This is an excellent article by Mr T. Udayavarlu based on research by Dr Raja Reddy Neuro surgeon. Dr Reddy proves with painstaking details the antiquity of Telugu Language in the Andhra Desa even before Satha vahana. Therefore he claims the Telugu language exists much before 3rd century BC even before sangham era, the main basis for classifying Tamil as classical language.

Here is the article (courtesy of telugupeople.com) Tracing Telugu before 3rd century BC

According to Dr Raja Reddy, Bhimuka was the first Satavahana king and Gobadha was the first king to start the practice of printing king names on the coins. Apparently we have thousands of coins of this era.
