Another good new to Godavari People,

University of Petroleum and Energy studies (Petro University) started on Saturday in Godavari Institute of Engineering and Technology (GIET) campus, East Godavari District, Rajanagaram mandalam near Velugu Banda.
Head quarters of this university is located at Dehradoon. This university has another campus in Gurgao, New Delhi.
Admission process is started and will be finished by June 30, 2007. According to regional co-ordinator Narasimha raju, Classes will start from August 2007. Recently lot of Oil & Gas reserves found in costal and Godavari area. So the University regional institute started here and will function under UGC guidelines.

The courses offered are:
MBA up-stream asset management, part and shipping, BBA petro marketing, B.tech applied petroleum engineering or Gas Engineering, PG Diploma in exploration and production, B.Sc plant operations and maintenance, fire safety course.
