For example kamma's and velama's have similar gotra names. Because velama caste originated from kamma caste. If a man and woman of kamma and velama communities want to marry, they must check their gotra before their marriage.

As you already raised I want to tell you something....

Velamas and Kammas are both of the same origin. There is no doubt about that. History proves that. They got splitted only during the period of Kakatiyas. When Ganapathi deva of Kakatiya dynasty had no sons and his only daughter Rudrama devi became the queen of kakatiya dynasty these people got split. People who are more liberal and who supported Rudrama Devi became Kammas and those who are more conservative and opposed a lady taking over the thrown of Kakatiya kingdom were Velamas. Rest is the history that everybody knows...

Yes as you said kammas and velamas have some common gothrams.
Ex: N.T.R 's gothram is Recharla which is same as Palnati Brahma Naidu (Is he a Velama ? or Kamma ?)

Also you can see many last names/surnames for kammas and velamas look same like ending with "neni" .

@@ so be it but kamma r Oc and velama r Bc now why they r backward caste

So, one kind is getting reservations over the other kind; though both from the same origin. If so is it with the reason, one kind got neglected for a long time?

In USA, marriages between all genetically close relatives in banned. In some provinces of USA, marriage between distant relatives is permitted but marriages between any degree of close relationships is not permitted any where in USA. In India, marriages between close relatives of certain degrees of relationships is permitted by law but Indians must also change the culture. We should not uphold those practices just because our grannies and grandfathers upheld those practices. In uncivilised days, every one upheld incest. Read history or Marxist historical materialism for reference. Marriages between close relatives or relatives of certain degree of relationships has been forbidden according to change in civilisation.

Only few velamas are BCs. I guess they are koppu velamas. Padmanayaka velamas for sure are OCs, and mainly live in Telangana Districts, and some pockets in rest of Andhra like in Bobbili, Nujividu, Venkatagiri, etc. Popular Padmanayaka velamas from past are Thandra Papa Rayudu, Palnati Brahmanaidu, Rani mallamamba, Tandra Paparuyudu, King Rangar Rao of Bobbili, Rajas of Bobbili, Venkatagiri, Nujividu, etc, and Former Madras state chief minister Bobbili Raja. Recent popular Velamas are Ex chief minister Jalagam Vengal Rao, Ex Deputy Chief Minister J.V. Narsing Rao, Ex CBI Chief and Ex Minister Vijayarama Rao, MSR, CH. Vidyasagar Rao, CH. Rajeshwar Rao, KCR of TRS, etc. I guess Adi velamas are also OCs. One of them is Kotagiri Vidyadara Rao. Adi Velamas are mostly from Coastal Andhra.
