People can easily go from Nellore to Tirupati or Chennai by bus. What is the need of airport at Nellore?

Nellore does need an airport. How can the economy of an area improve unless there is sound infrastructure in place ? As mentioned in the earlier posts , the major cities in andhra like Vizag are getting a face lift thru a natural progression. Those areas will get funds and its just a matter of time when they become full fledged international standard airport's . Keeping the affordability of air travel in mind, its a welcome move by the APIDC to institute a committee to explore the feasibility of an airport in Nellore. Soon Nellore will be ranked among the developed metro's of South India.

Some people in the forum have suggested that people from nellore can go to chennai or tirupathi by bus .. fyi , the distance between newark and JFK airport in new york is lesser than the distance between nellore and chennai , still we have an example of 2 thriving airport's ? if there good number of people in nellore who can afford air travel , what is the point of going to chennai or turupathi ?
The question here is standard of living and the affordability of people from nellore ... many multi crore businesses in Hyderabad , chennai and b'lore are owned and operated by folks from nellore ... it will be great for those elite who with to hop cities and return to nellore ...

Air travel opens unlimited opportunities nellore and for kudos to the AP government for this proactive initiative.
