In AP many industries were closed in rule of TDP. Some years ago steel plant at village Dusi in Srikakulam district which is large scale industry belonging to Midwest company was closed. Recently that company sold that factory to Concast ferro company and they reopened that factory. In Srikakulam district there are many other industries which are closed\running with losses. Government should reduce taxes on industries atleast in economically backward areas like Srikakulam district. Industrialisation is more required for backward areas.

They are making NH5 as 4 laned highway. If NH5 4 laning completes it may imrpove industrial development in Srikakulam district. Transportation is also one of the main factors of industrialisation.

In Srikakulam district mineral resources are less. Due to national highway only corporate companies of other states setup industries in Srikakulam district.

In Palasa\Kasibugga minimum 15 cashew nut processing industries were closed. 2 of those factory owners committed suicide. 150 cashew nut industries are running with losses. They are small scale industries. What about them? Cashew nuts are costly products. Few people purchase them. Government increased taxation on those industries. But those factory owners cannot increase price of cashew nuts. If they increase price no one will purchase.
