Mini hydel power projects in tribal areas

What is the typicial capacity of these min-hydel power plants? Is it like the movie swadesh, generating enough electricty for a village? May be 10-20 KW?

it is genrally 1.5 MW and multples, big groups like tata, reliance along with GVK, Lanco from AP are also in the fray along with hundreds in the race for establishment of hudel stations. I will give detailed analysis after some time as i am very busy in starting a hydel station work viz. penstock and gates for two projects in uttaranchal right now.

reliance is starting 270 mw and GVK 220 mw at uttaranchal

even 500 kw hydro projects are also possiable, i think one has to contact Boving fouress limited, banglore for turbines and generators on LSTK basis
