| Sania's effigy burnt
HYDERABAD: Tennis star Sania Mirza's advertisement for a shoe company ran into a controversy with an association Priyanka-Rahul Gandhi Brigade accusing her of dishonouring the national flag.
Activists of the Brigade, led by its president Manoj Alexander, burnt Ms. Sania's effigy here at Nizam college demanding an unconditional apology from her to the nation.
According to Mr. Alexander, Mirza was seen keeping her foot on the national flag as part of the advertisement and thus hurt the sentiments of the citizens. |

| | Sania Mirza redeemed herself from the loss she suffered at Sunfeast by doing the same to Hingis in Korean open. Hopefully this boosts her confidence and lift her ranking. If she shows same precision and power in her forehand, she has very good opportunity to reach final and win this tournament. |

Post subject: Sania and Leander brings gold for India at the Asiad | |
| Nice to see the Mixed doubles tennis match at the Doha Asian Games where Sania Mirza and Leander Paes who won the Gold for the country. Some fantastic shots, particularly by Leander and many mistakes by the opposition held India get the gold.
Any ways, the Asian games seems to be a good one for Sania. Remember, she already won the Silver in the singles event.
