Westerners are not democrats. They are liberal and conservative capitalists. Josef Stalin was strong socialist. Anti-Stalinists like Nikita Khruschev led pseudo-socialist government in Soviet Union. Stalinism is not reason for downfall of Soviet Union. There is very clear difference between Stalinists and Khrushchevite-Brezhnevite revisionists.

Every time an encounter happens and we hear about their back ground and what their families had gone through all these years, it is very heart wrenching. Nobody understands what they achieved by going underground, but they definitely ruined the families that left behind. This is a common theme across all these stories. Take the case of Vijayakka who first married Mr Mahendera Reddy and joined Maoist moevemnt in 1982. After her husband got killed in 1998 she stayed back, and then married MR Chandra Mouli whom got killed in yesterday’s encounter along with her. The families of all these people are completely ruined. I don't understand why the police have to harass the families left behind that are already half ruined.

It seems to me it is like a hell with no escape. Once they make the fatal mistake of entering PWG, they have to sacrifice their life and their families. How many more lives have to be ruined with this meaningless struggle?.

Police are doing encounters since 40 years. Why didn't naxalite movement stop? I know that you cannot reply to this and you always say that enounters can only solve problems. In 1997, around 273 naxalites died in encounters. This year, not even 200 died. This number is less comparing to Chandra Babu's regime.

I completely agree with you. Maoism cannot be eliminated unless we address the social problems underneath. Last 40 years was a living proof. Having said that, can you tell me what Maoism has achieved in the last 40 years other than ruining the lives of 3000-4000 people and their families.
