What happens to former maoists that surrender? Does govt automatically squash all charges on them? Does govt provide any assistance?

Government is saying that they will give reward to surrendered naxalites. Some naxalites surrendered but naxalite parties recruited new cadre again. There are also cases of police sponsoring brokers to act like surrendered naxalites for sharing rewards. Idea of rewards to former naxalites became a big farce. There are also cases of senior police officers swallowing rehabilitation funds without giving to rewards to real surrendered naxalites. Those surrendered naxalites are returning back to their parties. Some surrendered naxalites like Jadala Nagaraju are used as informers or covert agents. Other surrendered naxalites are cheated by police and they return back to their parties.
