In telugu news channel TV9 i heard that for mixing 20% of bio diesel in total diesel used in AP, jatropha and pongamia trees should be grown in 15 lakhs acres of lands. But bio diesel crop cultivation is very less in AP. Only few of the rich farmers are growing bio diesel crop. Government should also encourage middle class and poor farmers to grow biodiesel crop.

For bio diesel crop good maintaince is also required. In some areas bio diesel crop failed due to improper maintainance. Government should concentrate more on encouraging bio diesel crop.

Jatropha plants are poisonous. Animals do not eat Jatropha leaves. There is no need of fencing for jatropha plantations. That is also benefit of jatropha crop.

Jatropha plants grow only in plateau areas and river flow areas. In AP majority of the extent of land is plateau area. It is easy to grow jatropha crop in AP.
