Special pacakge for AP farmers

Finally the long awaited special package for the wlefare of farmers in AP was granted to the tune of Rs 10,000 crores. For irrigation they allocated as much as Rs 6000 crores, out of which 40% is through grants and 60% is through loans. Most of it goes towards small scale irrigation works. The state govt asked something like Rs 50,000 crores , including several projects under jala yagna. Nobody expected center to grant even 10% of that. At the end we did better than expected.

Do you think it will make major difference to farmers lives? Most improtantly will it stop farmers suicides?

This all will keep farming community onc the assured completion of promised projects in time. Other oposition political parties should refrain them selves in stopping the irrigation projects which is suicidal for the state.
