| It is surprising to see that Andhra Pradesh stood second in terms of number of tourists visited the state. While Delhi attracted most foreign tourists ( obviously tourists landing there to visit Taj Mahal ), Andhra Pradesh attracted most domestic tourists. Considering that so many tourists spots in AP are under utilized, including the under developed coastal line, it is surprising that we came second. Also I don’t know whether they included Tirupati pilgrims into these numbers. Nevertheless, Govt should take tourism very seriously. With growing economy and increasing income levels, this is bound to explode.

| Linking Temples and Tourist Resorts would be a good idea. The recent idea to build a resort at Anantagiri Hills to link with the temple location is one such thing. _________________ I like Tomorrow...

| With Hyderabad having made it as the favourite Investment destination in India has catapulted the state to this honour. With the last 2 presidents of America -Bill Clinton and George Bush including lined up to come to this great place and with the Birla Mandir on top of the city and Lord Buddha's gracious presence and of course the historic Charminar have alone contributed to this honour.
With the economy in Hyderabad doing super and jobs aplenty, we will be hearing more of such stories in the near furture and lets develop Hyderabad as the best destination in the world. God Bless this (Sow)Bhagyanagar. |

| | Air Deccan reported a whopping Rs 340 crore loss, and the competition is getting stiffer. So many new players are coming into the market. On one hand the demand for air travel is growing exponentially, and it is vital for this state and country's economy and growth. Some speculate that the industry will collapse in near future. I tend to think that in a free market economy, without any undue regulations from the govt, ultimately market will find its equilibrium. Also the current phenomena if high energy prices, one of the major reason for the losses, could be temporary. Do you think the airline industry can sustain these kind of losses and mature in the coming years? |
