Pulichintala barriage is for diverting water to Krishna delta through canals. It to do not benefit Telangana and Palnadu in any way. Large extent of agricultural lands in Palnadu and Telangana will be submerged into water by that project and many people will loose agricultural lands. So people of Palnadu and Telangana are opposing that project.

Post subject: Where is the Money for the Government

Thinking in one way, Governments are very much short of money. No Government can afford to complete large irrigational projects without good funding from the Central Government. Even when the money is given by the Center, the State Government should have to allocate its part from the State Budget.

Looking at the present Government, i do not see any huge money set aside for irrigational projects for the year. So, dont expect Pulichintala project to be completed in the next 3-4 years. And at that time who knows if the present Government stays in power. Even if stays in power, every one will forget the project.

One way of solving this type of problems is to give them to national level or International contracting companies to complete the project in say 1 or 2 years.
