| Jus saw the news today abt the engineer from Hyderabad who was working in Afghanistan, Kasula Suryanarayana; he was abducted by Taliban last Friday & was killed by them today while he reportedly tried to flee from their captivity!
Suryanarayana, 40, was working in Zabul province in Afghanistan. He was kidnapped by the Taliban as their plan to force all Indians to leave Afghanistan within 24 hrs....turns out tat the Indian embassy had provided security to all Indian personnel working in Afghanistan, but he happened to be on duty without security that day.
The Indian embassy in Afghanistan hav claimed to hav got a headless body, confirmed to be his!
Suryanarayana is survived by his parents, wife & 3 children....they were reported to hav gone to seek help from the CM on the day they got the news of his abduction, but wer turned away by the security at the CM's residence, being told to hav an appointment on Sunday.
Following his death today, the PM & CM hav announced "financial support" for said deceased's family.
This is the 2nd known murder of an Indian employee in Afghanistan by the Taliban after the murder of an employee from Kerala last year w/ a similar motive! |

| We are very saddened by this horrible murder. My condolences to the family. This incident reminds me the murder of Mr Rupin Katyal on Indian airlines flight IC 814. As per the latest reports, Mr Suryanarayana fought very bravely against the barbaric fanatics before he lost his life. I’m very proud of him being Andhrite and Indian. It is very opt for the Govt of India to recognize his bravey and announce last rites with full state honors. God bless him.
As long as the terrorist state of Pakistan sponsors state terrorism, elements like Taliban, Lashkar-e-Toiba continue to prosper in this world and there is no peace. I don't know when will the world realize it is not just India’s problem, but entire world’s problem and it is time to bring the real sponsor, the terrorist state of Pakistan to justice. |

| Really sad that it has happenned so. Things like these should not have happened. He worked for Tata Teleservices for some time. Earlier he was in Australia for his MS. Such a nice professional should not have got this sad end. _________________ I like Tomorrow...
