Do you think the Andhra Pradesh Government is doing enough to create awareness on AIDS?

With India and Andhra Pradesh topping the charts for a growing number of AIDS patients, the need to create awareness amongst the people increased?

They are also promoting false propaganda on AIDS. There are many people who think that AIDS is caused by sexual contacts only. Syringes, blood transfer, shaving blades can also spread AIDS easily. Sexual contact with unknown or little know persons can transmit AIDS easily. Even condoms cannot give protection from AIDS if they have sexual contact with unknown or little know persons. Some time back, government made a big joke with advertisement "Puliraja ki AIDS vastunda". Women associations opposed that advertisement. Because that advertisement caused impression that women only spread AIDS.

I'd not blame Govt alone for the failure in creating awareness on HIV.
The movement or motion should start in our family first , involving grow ups by keeping all barriers aside. No govt w'd succeed in any motion without public's support. Every one would agree now that the polio cases
across the state are drastically down.Similar strategy need to be deployed and the motion is to be taken to all nooks and corners of the state.

Atleast 2 years from now, We can realize the state HIV free.

Truly Andhra

In many government hospitals and some of the private hospitals, they use improperly cleaned syringes. Government is not bothering much about syringes. Using single use disposable syringes is best way.
