| | First of all congratulations to Sailaja and Pramila Valli for winning gold in the recently concluded common wealth games in Melbourne, Australia. It is with great curiosity I put this question to the members how Srikakulam produces these great woman weight lifters when rest of the state (or country) is so behind. I hope the State Govt provides enough funds for these athletes which they clearly deserve. They have great future to do well in the next Olympics. |

| We hv heap of talented atheletes across the country, if they are encouraged, trained & rewarded properly , they will flourish in the olympics with hatful of medals.
In india other than dirty game of cricket, nothing seems to be cheered by people & govt.

Very true! Donno y Indian govt. spends so much on encouraging cricketers!
Let's face it, India hardly has ne place in the world when it comes to Olympics, comp'd w/ other countries tat r able to produce far many talented players in jus abt every sport during those games!
Its high time we stopped our monotonous obsession w/ this Brit game! |
