| All India Democratic Women's Association is communist oriented women's organisation committed to achieving democracy, equality and women's emancipation. AIDWA membership comprises women of all strata, regardless of caste, class or creed but its main focus of attention is work among the poorer sections of women.
AIDWA was founded in 1981, as an all India organisation. However, several State units of the organisation had come into existence in the crucible of the freedom struggle and have a commendable record of anti-imperialist and pro-working people's activism, dating back to pre-Independance days. AIDWA now has an organisational presence in 18 States in the country. AIDWA has an annual renewable membership. Its membership in 2001 was over 6 million. In its social composition AIDWA's membership includes women from all castes and communities. About two thirds of the membership is from India's urban and rural poor women. _________________ People who know much about science become rationalists, people who know much about society and economy become communists and people who have more intrest on cinemas & TV than other issues are useless fellows. |

Marx called democracy, the dictatorship of the bourgeoise. How come the word democracy is so fondly used in the indian left press. Why is there some shyness to use the word "dictatorship of the working class". Getting to the subject of your discussion, communist leadership is the key to emancipation of women from sexism and capitalism. Women should probably be won to the idea like the rest of the working class " Dictatorship of the Proletariat" _________________ Understanding Dialectical Materialism is the Key to changing the World |

| Politicians are saying that they will give reservations for women in assembly and parliament seats. Politicians are not trying to stop dowry harassments, sexual harassments and rapes. But they want to bring their wives and daughters into politics by name of reservations. _________________ In India rich people become more rich and poor people become more poor. Because our politicians are following pro capitalistic policies.
