Government should exclude some communities from BC category. In Andhra Pradesh population of BCs is more than 50%. From 6 decades they are having reservations. Same families are enjoying reservation multiple times in those communities. They are also enjoying political power from 6 decades. Government should exclude atleast some communities from BC category. There are 93 castes recognised as BC in our state. But some of those castes are having more political and economical power. At least 20-30 castes should be excluded from BC category.

Unfortunately I don’t see that happening. I got very radical (and crazy) solution. It seems nobody objects as much in adding a caste as they do for removing it. So, why can’t they add one by one all castes into BC/SC/ST and nothing left in OC. Then BC becomes OC. Problem solved. DR Rayudu will be happy too (no pun intended).

Totally 102 OC communities of our state requested BC commission to add them in BC category. Those OC communties also include most forward castes like kamma, reddy, velama, brahman and vysya. These communities demanding reservations is a big joke. I was born in velama community. I saw many politicians, land lords, contractors, doctors and lawyers in my community. TRS leader K Chandra Sekhara Rao, Congress leader M Satya Narayana Rao and many senior political leaders were born in my community. I wonder why velamas are demanding reservations.

I dont think that velamas are really backward. I belong to padmanayaka velama which is a sub sect of velama. My subsect is comes under OC. In history velamas even ruled kingdoms. In velama sub sects, koppula velama and polinati velama come under BC category but only in Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts. Koppula velama and polinati velama should be excluded from BC category. In Srikakulam and Vizianagaram districts, people of those sub sects are even owning big big colleges and hospitals.
