It is difficult to imagine life without eyes. But in Visakhapatnam agency are many people are falling in trap of eye diseases or loosing eye sight completely even in child hood. In whole India, Visakha agency is only having highest rate of blindness. In India average rate of blindness is 4%. But in Visakha agency rate of blindness is 8 to 10%. Many people in Visakha agency are aquiring eye diseases like glaucoma, night blindness, cataract etc. Mal nutrition, inadequacy of medical facilities, poverty, illiteracy and superstitions are increasing cases of eye diseases and blindness in Visakha agency.
