Farmers chooses suicide route unable to repay loans

After the new YSR Government came to power, the number of farmer suicides are increasing.

Do you have any proposal to keep this problem on hold?

There is no need to commit suicides. In TDPs rule agriculture was completely neglected. In AP around 70% of people are depending up on agriculture. In Vision 2020 plan there is proposal to reduce agriculture upto 40% and encourage IT and other industries. Now YSR became CM. He is giving priority to both agriculture and IT. Farmers need not commit suicides.

Recently one farmer committed suicide by different reason. He gave loans to some farmers. Those farmers did not repay loans to him. He failed to collect debts from them and commited suicide.

Many farmers are not getting sufficient market price. That is reason for farmers borrowing loans and committing suicides. Government should setup public secotr agro based industries and give high market price to famers. It can only stop suicides of farmers.
