Old railway bridge will be hand overed to corporation

South central railway decided to hand over Rajahmundry old railway bridge to muncipal corporation. At first SCR planned to dismantle that bridge and sell the scrap metal. People severely opposed it. Now SCR is going to handover that bridge to Rajamundry muncipal corporation for making it as foot\cycle way bridge.

Can it be useful in some form for the proposed "fly over" ffrom kovvur to kaatheru or divan cheruvu?? Pillars of the OLD bridge may be utilised for the new fly over??

Rajahmundry old railway bridge is historical structure. No pillar of the bridge should be removed.
