Hindu's are better than catholic christians. Some families and castes in hindus do remarriages to widows. In some castes there is also tradition of doing marriages to women with men younger than them in age. 50 years ago there was ban on abortions in European countries. Some women who became pregnants before marriage used to have abortions secretly. But in India and Nepal government never imposed ban on abortions.

If we read vedas and manu smriti we can understand that hinduism gave more freedom to women comparing to christianity.

In India around 80% are hindus and in Nepal around 90% are hindus. Majority population in these countries is not having so much of fundamentalism like christians.
