Government is planning to introduce mini hydel power projects in tribal areas. Tribal welfare department is having proposal to open 10 mini hydel power projects experimentally in tribal areas. Government want to setup more mini hydel power projects to increase power generation in state.

In some areas there are unofficial power cuts. If they setup new hydel power projects there will be no power cuts.

Hydel power is not pollutant like coal.

Yes. But sufficient water should be avaialable for hydel power generation. They should setup hydel power stations as many as possible.
