In Kurnool district there is rivalry between 2 factions of same party. Congress leaders Katasani Ram Bhupal Reddy and Cherukulapadu Narayana Reddy are having differentaiations with each other. Recently Narayana Reddy's group killed 2 people belonging to Ram Bhupal Reddy's group. Narayana Reddy is also supporter of Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy who is MP and son of former CM Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy.
