There is an aricle in The hindu that Vizag coffee has been adjudged as best coffee in the world and APForest develomet corporation has exported more than 730 MT of blended coffee to switzerland, France , Germany and Italy and getting ready for more production to the tune of 1500 MT. pedabayalu estates. The visakha clean/green coffee is blended at Narsipatnam's new blending unit. APFDC also making arrangements to export more than 5000 MT of green pepper from the same estate.

HATS OFF TO ITDA OFFICIALS FOR THEIR HARD WORK OVER YEARS IN GETTING RESULTS FROM backward agency areas of vizag

Apparently this also reduces deforestation as cofffee needs to be grown under the shades of the trees and therefore dissuade tribals from cutting the trees.

In East Godavari district also there are dense hills and forests in areas like Rampachodavaram, Sileru etc. Why not coffee plants be grown in those areas also?

it all depends on the public who should follow the ITDA instructions and training. anathgiri, paderu tribals followed government encouragement and succeeded. if WG tribals also follow they also get succeeded in not only in coffee but also in pepper and other cash crops.
