Setting the mood: DJ Carlotta Lackman churning out fast numbers while the revellers enjoy themselves at the poolside party at Aqua in Visakhapatnam on Saturday night. —

VISAKHAPATNAM: When there is music and fun amidst splashes of cool icy waters, the evening has to be no less than mind-blowing. This was one fever that was hard to miss! The heat was on at the Saturday night bash at Aqua, the poolside destination of The Park Hotel with lady DJ Carlotta Lackman who set the evening on fire with some superb mixes of high-voltage music. Titled “Underwater House” the high voltage event was a storehouse of fun and psychedelic trance with snatches of commercial remix churned out by the lady DJ. The USP of the evening, however, was the ice cooled, luminescent pool, where the action shifted, as the evening progressed. To keep the pool water cold ice blocks were be dunked into the pool.

The synchronised fire flair bartenders showcased flaming lamborghinis, baboushkas and house flavoured vodka shots. The pulse lit bar featured international luxury brands. The horde of euphoric late night revellers tucked into the midnight buffet at Vista that had an interesting blend of the international flavour of the restaurant as well as the local taste buds.

“This concept is quite new to the city. Such theme parties have never been organised before. We wanted to bring in the flavour of the season and introduce a new way of partying before Vizagites,” said Siraj Mukherjee, the Director Operations, hotel The Park.
