Some companies are providing internet by cell phone. Dial-up connections and leased line connections may get disturbed or disconnected by problem in cables. In cell phone internet connections there is no chance of disturbances. More companies should provide internet by cell phones. Tariff on internet by cell phone should be also reduced.

Your idea is really good Sooryam.

But the issue is that mobile phone companies such as Airtel, Hutch etc. need to setup more towers otherwise there will be congestion and normal voice calls gets disturbed. This means that more investments needs to be put in to install and maintain the equiptment and naturally the cellular companies will not come to put in their money for remote areas.

Probably BSNL (since it is a government owned subsidy) will come forward for this.

Most of the internet users use dial_up connection. Some of them use leased lines. People who use internet by cell phone are less comparing to dial_up users and leased line users. Charges of internet by cell phone must be reduced.

Recently BSNL introduced broadband service. For compitition with broadband also they should reduce tarrif on cell phone internet.
