Paganism and neo-paganism

Though I am not believer of god, I am posting this topic to tell some thing about history. In European languages, the word pagan means idol worshipper and neo-pagans means new style of pagans who include juda-christian traditions in ancient pagan traditions. In ancient days, there were no organised religions like hinduism or christianity or judaism. People used to worship natural forces like sun, fire, rain and wind etc by fear. They used to think that unknown power controls the nature and the unknown power is god. They used to make stone idols and pray those idols as gods. Present day hindu religion also includes many characteristics of pagan religion. For example: Gods like Agni Deva, Vayu Deva, Varuna Deva etc are named to natural forces by people who worshipped natural forces. In European countries also there are people who are re-embracing back paganism and including jewish and christian traditions in paganism and identifying themselves as neo-pagans. Now also our society did not understand much about nature. In ancient days, idols were seen under trees and in caves. In modern era, idols are seen in temples, churches and other structures of worship.

Even atheists collect information about history. Through studying history, it is possible to prove that religion was created by human beings.
