Though Basara has not made it due to lack of facilities there, a place around Hyderabad has been decided and there would be a hunt to zero down on the location to start this mother of all institutions in this very well deserved place. Though being allotted late, all the credit goes to the visionary Chandra Babu Naidu for his hard work in getting the Temple of Education to our beloved place.

Basara was a good idea in fact. There are allegations that Andhraites wont be safe and other fictional accusations, Telangana has been a home for all and i express my dissapointment at people starting a non-existing war to further their interests.

Its unfortunate though that people have started making wrong noises out of possible envy, but its expected such people raise their narrow and unsubstantiated charges to scuttle the prestigious event happening in Bhagyanagar. Thats after 50 years of living in the same telangana.

This argument could be the first fall out of separate T, but it is a fair one.

It is no secret, in 50 years of capital centric policies, most of our education priorities were revolved around Hyderabad with most of the colleges and universities setup there. Until 25 years ago, we didn’t have university in Vijayawada is a case in point. Such was the lop sided development in the area of education.

I was very vocal last two years and strong proponent of IIT in Basra or even surrounding Hyderabad under my vision of united AP. Now separate statehood, under basic premise of regional hatred towards andhrites is reality, I strongly object to creation of IIT in any area of Telangana. I apologize if I hurt sentiments of some telanganites who are exceptions to this rule, but the generally reality of hatred was well known not only on this website but in day to day rhetoric of all TRS leaders starting from KCR.

We don’t want to send our kids to IIT in Hyderabad when we very well know they will be mistreated ( I’m reverse applying the feelings of some separatists here). Today’s announcement by YSR that he will work with center to setup IIT in AP in Hyderabad is very short sighted. YSR may be still fooling with idea of united AP, but to me it is pure politics. He needs to work towards separate state , and in the process be fair to all regions.

There are two universities identified in AP to convert to IIT. If they convert both into IITs, I don't have an issue. But under the new proposal of only one IIT in AP with brand new campus, it should be in Srikakulam-Vizianagarm area. This is close to IIT Kargapur which has shown lot of inretrest in supporting a new campus. Your thoughts?

True colors coming out now after months of pretending and making fake noises and opinions, that too after their kids having lived in Telangana for the last 50 years and prospered too.
