Srikakulam muncipality is having around 1,10,000 population. Srikakulam town is developing better nowadays comparing to past. Nearby villages of Srikakulam town can be also developed by merging it in Srikakulam muncipality. Out skirt villages Pedapadu, Patrunivalasa, Chapuram, Siddhipeta, Ragolu, Tamminaidupeta, Sanapalavanipeta, Jaripivanipeta, Kusalapuram and Ponnada should be merged in Srikakulam muncipality. Except Ragolu and Ponnada, all those specified villages are located on\close to National Highway. Ragolu is located on Srikakulam - Parvatipuram main road. Ponnada is located on loop road but there is a big chemical factory at Ponnada. Pedapadu, Patrunivalasa, Chapuram, Siddhipeta and Ragolu comes under limits of Srikakulam mandal. Tamminaidupeta, Sanapalavanipeta, Jaripivanipeta, Kusalapuram and Ponnada comes under limits of Etcherla mandal but they are very close to Srikakulam town. Those villages will definitely develop if they are merged in Srikakulam muncipality. Chintada village of Srikakulam mandal should be merged in Amudalavalasa muncipality. It is very close to Amudalavalasa town. That village will definitely develop it it is merged in Amudalavalasa muncipality.

Merging out skirts panchayats in muncipality is good idea. Gopinagar village which is around 10 KMs far from Amudalavalasa town belong to Amudalavalasa muncipality. Merging villages which are around 5 KMs far from town in muncipality is not big problem.
