What is the need of mangala sutra?

I dont think that married women should compulsorily have mangala sutra. When men do not display symbol of their marriage, why should women only display such symbol? At the time of marriage, mangala sutra can be used. But after marriage wearing mangala sutra around neck is not compulsory.

I am also married but i dont wear mangala sutra around my neck. My husband dont object it.

Love is more important between wife and husband. Indications like mangala sutra are not important. Generally women do not remove mangala sutra exept in time of bath. Some cinema heroines act in cinemas even after marriage. It is not possible to act with mangala sutra at every time. They remove mangala sutras due to compulsory situation. But other women always have mangala sutras around their necks. In my view there is no need to wear mangala sutra. There is no loss in removing mangala sutra.
