Former chief minister and Telugu Desam President N Chandrababu Naidu has become a loner. Sources say he’s stopped meeting many of his old associates and those who hovered around him when he was in power for 9 long years, are now pally with the Congress government. Hotelier, industrialist and former TD MP P. Prabhakar Reddy was Chandrababu Naidu’s man friday when Telugu Desam was in power. Reddy looked after everything in the party including important financial dealings. Ditto another wealthy businessman-politician, Kambhampati Ramamohan Rao. He was Naidu’s close confidant. But now, both Reddy and Rao are spending more time looking after their own businesses.

From the film fraternity, Murali Mohan is seen meeting Chief Minister Y. S. Rajashekar Reddy more often than Chandrababu Naidu. One hears even Raghavendra Rao has moved away. Industrial bigwigs like Satyam Rajus, Koneru Prasad and the likes are all very compatible with the Congress regime and this, sources say Chandrababu Naidu is finding hard to accept. Ex TDP ministers too aren’t seen much at NTR Bhavan. In fact Chandrababu has decided to entrust responsibility to a new team of leaders in his party. Even the number of visitors to Chandrababu Naidu’s residence has come down drastically. But, his trusted PRO Vijay Kumar continues to assist him.
