Tribals ire on Polavaram

Tribals of East Godavari, West Godavari and Khammam districts are severely opposing Polavaram project. Polavaram project submerges many hectares of forests in water. It severely effects the economy of tribals who collect forest produces. Tribals of East Godavari, West Godavari and Khammam districts are going to start movement against Polavaram project.

I think it is better to concentrate more on minor irrigation projects than taking up controversial major irrigation projects.

In TDP's rule, not even single irrigation project was completed. YSR's government giving more priority for irrigation projects is good work but there should be proper planning for construction of irrigation projects.
