Turkey breeding in Andhra Pradesh

Government should encourage breeding of turkey birds in our state

There are no turkey farms in our state. Few people tame turkeys at home for eggs and meat. Turkey chicken will be alternate to hen chicken.

Yes. There are no turkey poultries in our state. Only hen\cock poultries are seen in our state. In past Tamil Nadu government decided to introduce ostrich farms in their state but animal rights activists severe opposed it. In Kalingapatnam in Srikakulam district i saw one family taming turkey birds at home. Turkey farms should be introduced in our state without bothering about objection of any people.

Once i ete turkey eggs in my friend's home. I did not eat turkey chicken till now. Introducing turkey farms in our state is good idea. I got bored by eating cock chicken.

Turkeys are bigger in size than hens\cocks. Turkeys can give more meat than hens\cocks. In that way also turkey breeding is good.
